Have you come to the point that in your drinking that you feel depressed this is commonly referred to alcohol depression.
This can happen because you are no longer getting the desired effects or it can also happen because of your behavior like caused by frequent alcoholic blackouts when you can not remember what happened in one of your bouts of drinking.
What I mean by this is like when you got drunk the night before and in an alcohol blackout you made a complete ass out of yourself at the bar.
Upon awaking the next day someone tells you how you behaved and this leads to alcoholic depression.
Alcohol depression can also happen when you suddenly stop drinking or run out of booze. I think it happens quit frequently during alcohol withdrawal.
There are some things you can do to combat this. One is to quit drinking entirely. Two you could cut back on your drinking.
This will be impossible if you are an alcoholic. Refer to my post on alcoholic questionnaire.
Another thing that helps with depression is exercise go for a long walk.
I think your best bet though would be to just stop drinking.
Try attending and AA meeting. This will get your mind off of your alcohol depression even if it is only for the hour that you are at the meeting.
Remember you must take action stick with the winners. Stay away from your drinking friends they will take you back to drinking time after time.
